Buran Space Shuttle
The Buran-Energia project was created at the beginning of the seventies to counter the American shuttle.
Hermes Manned Space Plane
French manned space plane which was cancelled in 1992. The Hermes space plane would have provided independent European manned access to space. Hermes was designed to take three astronauts to orbits of up to 800 km altitude on missions of 30 to 90 days in space.
